Today, I’m here to talk about the three biggest mistakes homebuyers make when they start to go through the buying process.

1. Not knowing what they can afford. Too many buyers start looking at homes without knowing what’s financially possible for them. You don’t want to get excited about a house only to find out you can’t buy it. Therefore, work with a trusted Realtor and a mortgage lender to figure this out.

2. Adding more debt. When you’re trying to buy a house, don’t add any other type of debt. Don’t go buy a new car or finance any furniture as that will affect your loan application.

3. Taking bad advice. The worst mistake I see homebuyers make is taking advice from someone who has never purchased a house before or did so over 20 years ago. You need to listen to a trusted professional who knows how the market works today.
